DR.LUKE

RATCLIFFE

Repertoire

Dr. Luke Ratcliffe performs repertoire from diverse backgrounds which include solo piano music, concerti, chamber music, vocal music and new music of living composers.

For over a decade, Dr. Ratcliffe has concertized works of Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Brahms, Schumann, Schubert, and so on. Apart from performing standard repertoire, his love and passion for the art has also lead him to seeks out lesser known musical masterworks, from the likes of Rautavaara, Lyapunov, Babadjanian, Arapov, to his colleagues Kristian Schembri, Gabriel Stossel and Daniel Dimarino. Dr. Ratcliffe's unique and dynamic performances  advocate for the beauty and appreciation of such works, in an attempt to expand the list of canons in the Western Classical repertoire.

For the past year, Dr. Ratcliffe has been working to create the complete collection of Einojuhani Rautavaara's piano music.
